I have a new boyfriend. He's reliable, always there when I need him and loves to take me anywhere I want to go. He's only 6 years old. He hasn't seen much of the world, but he's already had his heart replaced once. However, he doesn't suffer from necrolepsy like his predecesor Camry did.
(Necrolepsy as defined by Urban Dictionary:
Necrolepsy is a disorder marked by sudden, uncontrollable death, causing an individual to die at inappropriate times. People with necrolepsy die suddenly—anywhere, at any time, maybe even in the middle of a conversation. These sudden deaths can last from a few seconds to more than an hour. Depending on where they occur, they may be mildly inconvenient or even dangerous to the individual. Some people experience zombie-like tendencies where they continue to function outwardly during the death episodes.)
Yes, I have a new boyfriend. It took me a while to make my decision that we were meant to be together. Being with him would be a drain on my finances and I wasn't sure if I was ready for that kind of commitment. However, I realized I had to break up with Camry - though I felt like a jerk breaking up with him because of his medical condition. It didn't seem fair... and after all the fun we'd had in the past I felt like I was throwing away something special. But Camry was old. He'd seen so much and been so many places. He had a lot of experience under his belt - I was his 4th or 5th long term relationship. It was time for me to move on.
Barry and I got together on May 3oth, but before we could make anything official I had to go through the proper channels and make sure everything was okay with him. My brother took him to the doctors where he was given a clean bill of health and a piece of paper that stated this fact.
June 6th I went home and picked him up from my brother's workplace where he'd been patiently waiting for me. Despite the fact I forgot my wallet when I went to get the documents signed that would make us offical, we drove off into the sunset ready to start our life together.
Tues June 9th we officially became a couple, legally.
It's been a long journey, but I'm super excited about life with Barry. Dave is too. He's even open to get in on the action.
I present to you, Barry:

Why is his name Barry? Because he's blue, of course.
